Low-FODMAP at Domino's

Pizza is hard on a FODMAP gut — wheat crust, a garlicky tomato sauce, and a lactose hit from the cheese. But two levers cut most of the risk: the gluten-free crust and light cheese. Keep the size small and steer the toppings.

You’re allowed to ask questions at a counter. A short, specific request — “is there onion or garlic in that?” — is normal, reasonable, and needs no medical backstory. The scripts below give you the exact words.

What to order

These are the dependable low-FODMAP picks — and why each one is a safe bet.

Simple toppings

Pepperoni, ham, olives and bell pepper are all low-FODMAP.

What to ask the kitchen to change

These can work — with one question or one small adjustment. Here’s exactly what to ask.

The crust

Order the gluten-free crust (small) to cut the wheat — note it's made in a shared kitchen, not coeliac-safe.

The sauce

The tomato sauce and the garlic-oil crust brush both contain garlic. Ask for light sauce and no garlic brush, or a plain olive-oil base.

The cheese

Mozzarella is only moderate-lactose, and a small pizza keeps it in range. Ask for light cheese if you're very sensitive.

The toppings

Skip onion, mushroom, and extra garlic; pepperoni, ham, olives and bell pepper are the safer picks.

What to skip

Not forever — most of these come back during reintroduction. During elimination, they’re the reliable triggers to leave off.

Regular wheat crust in a large size

Wheat, stacked by portion.

Onions and mushrooms

Onion and polyols.

Stuffed cheesy bread and garlic bread

Wheat, garlic, and lactose.

Garlic dipping sauce

Concentrated garlic.

The exact words to say

Specific beats vague every time. Most staff won’t know what “low FODMAP” means, but they can absolutely answer “is there onion or garlic in that?”

Small gluten-free crust, light sauce, no garlic brush — pepperoni and bell pepper, no onion or mushroom.
Can I get light cheese?

Good to know

  • Two levers cut most of the risk: gluten-free crust and light cheese.
  • The tomato sauce carries garlic — 'light sauce' reduces it without a special order.
  • Skip the garlic dip and stuffed breads; that's concentrated garlic and wheat.
